MemberMode ships in two parts. The free plugin covers profiles, login, 2FA, fields, restriction, directory, and the form builder. Pro is an optional addon that adds drip content, paid memberships, analytics, audit log, automations, and more.
Install the free plugin
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for MemberMode.
- Click Install, then Activate.
A 3-step onboarding wizard runs the first time you open the MemberMode admin (set brand color + logo, pick your use case, finish).
Install the Pro addon
- Buy a license at membermode.app/pricing.
- From your customer portal at membermode.app/account/, download the Pro addon ZIP.
- In wp-admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, install, and activate.
- Open MemberMode → Settings → License, paste your license key, and click Activate.
The free plugin must stay active — Pro is an addon, not a replacement.
Updates
- Free updates appear in the standard WordPress Updates screen, sourced from WordPress.org.
- Pro updates appear there too, sourced from Freemius. You won’t see Pro updates if your license has expired or is detached from this site.
Uninstall
Deactivating either plugin keeps all data. If you want a full wipe (member profiles, fields, settings), enable MemberMode → Settings → Data → Remove all data on uninstall before deleting the plugin from the Plugins screen.
